Senior Corporate Associate/Counsel in Bucolic New England

Boutique corporate law firm located on the Burlington, Vermont waterfront seeks an experienced, personable & intelligent individual to fill full-time senior corporate associate position.   Tasks will include assisting clients to structure, negotiate and close sophisticated corporate transactions, including debt and equity financing transactions, mergers & acquisitions and other similar business transactions.      

Candidates for this position must have a JD degree and have at least two years of prior private practice work experience with corporate transactions.  Ideally, candidates will possess extensive experience working on private placement transactions and/or mergers & acquisitions.  Successful candidates must have a strong work ethic, be well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent contract drafting skills and general knowledge of securities laws.    

Compensation includes $120,000 to $15000 salary depending on skills and experience, Bonus up to 25% and 401(K). Remote practice available.

 Westchester Real Estate

Going mid-Westchester firm is looking for a real estate attorney with 3-6 years of transactional experience.   This is a partnership track opportunity. Commercial lending experience is a must. The firm represents large national banks as well as smaller community banks.  It also represent developers, property owners and tenants in connection with commercial leasing as well as the purchase, sale, financing, and development of real property. NY admission is required. Admission in Connecticut or New Jersey is a plus. 

  The successful candidate will have the ability to take ownership of a matter while working with a supervising partner and oversee paralegals and eventually junior associates. Compensation is between $140,000 and $165,000 plus bonus depending on expertise and experience. The firm seeks someone who is a self-starter with law firm experience who wishes to work toward becoming a partner at a major regional law firm.  While some portable business is preferred, the ideal candidate should have the desire and ability to cultivate new relationships with potential clients and to originate new business while handling a busy practice for existing client.
